This is Trumpeter’s 1/35th scale M1117 Guardian modeled in PMU (Iraqi) service. All in all a nice kit, some photo etch is provided where it adds the most detail. The kit has very soft plastic which caused some problems during construction but was not too much of an issue. Painted with Tamiya acrylics, no decals were used, all insignia were hand painted or airbrushed. It was weathered with a black wash, Dot filtering and Vallejo pigments in conjunction with the Mig pigment fixer. The hairspray method was also used on the white and black dots.
